Welcome to my Classroom!
My name is Mrs. Carlson. I have been teaching here at Murphy for three years as a Title I teacher working with students in
first and second grades. I have also taught in kindergarten and second grade. I love teaching at Murphy School, and I can't
think of a better place to teach. I really enjoy working with my students and watching them grow into super students.
I am married and have two children, a daughter, and a son. I love being active outside of school. I love spending time
with my family, camping, scrapbooking, and taking walks with our dog, Bentley.
During first grade, your child will learn how to read, write, practicing math skills, and developing new friendships
each day. I hope to make your child’s learning experience a fun and exciting one. Parents are a child's first and most
important teacher.
I believe we can work as a team to help your child become successful in first grade. I am looking forward to getting to know all my students and their families. It will be a great year of learning and doing fun activities.
